I'm Back!!

I have been taking a break from the blog because things have been so crazy around here. Since the last post we have had a yard sale, moved 2 jeeps here, and had the arrival of Bryson Hunter Lee...I wish I had a picture I could post of him he's so cute! He's the first child of one of my best friends and her husband. I have also been cooking and baking a lot lately...I think I'm getting in touch with my domestic side. As far as actual work on the house though, there hasn't been any. Unless you count bringing heaters in from the garage to put off turning the furnace on. And ordering a lot of Tupperware. Oh, I did get a few more boxes unpacked finally. Yes, that's right...we have lived here over a year and our front bedroom is still full of boxes. Most of its going away though cause if we haven't needed it in a year we probably won't need it again.

As promised before, here's the new T.V. stand
I love this! The new surround sound is great and no more skipping DVD player. As he promised, James had it done that same day all ready to go when I got home from work. And I sold the old entertainment center all ready, I'm just waiting for them to come and get it. Its still sitting in the living room, you can see part of it in the right corner. Well, thats all I got for now!

where to begin... my name is Bruce Yochum. Leo and Cecilia were my grandparents. I have so many found memories of the house and stories. I was born in Feb. of 1964. My parents lived next door and my Aunt and Uncle lived next to us. We would play all day long in and around all the buildings. The house itself, the wash house, the out house and the barn. When I was around 4 years old my family moved to Evansville. We had to sell our pony and my older sister and I sat on the steps going into the laundry room and cried our eyes out. We would visit all the time for the weekends and every summer spend at least 1 week with our grandparents. Oh my god the memories of Christmas, Easter and summer visits. We would play cards all the time and my grandma was an avid quilter. She would spend hours and hours quilting. My grandpa, Uncles, Dad, cousins, and I would go fishing in the evening and clean the catch next to the house. It has been a very long time since I have seen the house, so thank you from the bottom of my heart. my email address is mpbyns2@sbcglobal.net
